WEBSITE SUPERVISOR

This position reports directly into a Marketing Director but works closely with a department Project Manager


Overall Responsibilities

The overall responsibilities of this position are as follows:

  • Coordination/implementation of the majority of Bulk Barn's website content (English and French). Daily updates are required along with execution of programs outlined in a pre-determined annual calendar. Works closely with an in-house web designer to ensure execution is on time and on budget
  • Coordination of other marketing department projects (print, internet or social media projects), when required

Duties
  • Oversees daily content changes/additions/deletions to the website:
    • Coordinates/implements onto website all product information from the Merchandising Department including: details, nutritional facts, recipes, points of interest, product samples for photography, images on product or recipes from suppliers, etc.
    • Coordinates/implements onto website all images and copy from the Marketing Department including: weekly advertising programs, promotions, special events, Chef Anna Olson recipes/tips, etc.
    • Coordinates/implements all program information to be inserted into the "What's New?", and "What's Happening?" sections of the website from both the Merchandising and Marketing departments
    • Coordinates/implements other information from various departments, as required
  • Coordinates timing of all French translation requirements for website
  • Will be trained on our CMS processing system
  • Assists in the timely execution of various creative print projects, as required. Works closely with agency and/or print suppliers
  • Assists in the coordination of content, timelines, proofing, updates, etc. for potential internet or social media related marketing activities (e.g. Facebook, Flyerland, etc.)

Experience
  • Working knowledge and direct involvement in executing and implementing website programs (CMS, Basic HTML)
  • 3-5 years experience in project management within a marketing department, advertising agency or large promotions company
  • Working knowledge of photography and the creative and print production processes
  • Experience working in marketing for a large, national brand is required
  • Experience working in a fast-paced retail environment is an asset
  • Knowledge of Photoshop an asset
