Alzheimer Society Fundraising
Bulk Barn's Fifth Year of Fundraising Generates $180,272 for local Alzheimer Society branches across the Country
Bulk Barn has proudly supported the Alzheimer Society "Coffee Break®" program over the last five years and has raised a total of $645,534 for local Alzheimer Society branches across the country.
According to the 2009 World Alzheimer's Report, released by Alzheimer's Disease International, an estimated 35.6 million people worldwide will be living with dementia in 2010. According to this new report, dementia prevalence will nearly double every 20 years to 65.7 million in 2030. In Canada, over half a million Canadians have Alzheimer's disease or dementia, and approximately 50,000 of them are under the age of 60. This is a serious disease that greatly impacts the lives and families of many here in our country, and with the support from our valued customers we are doing our best to bring help and hope for those affected by Alzheimer's disease.
Our stores from Newfoundland to Alberta are very proud to support the Alzheimer Society because the funds raised in their stores are directly allocated back to their community.
We intend on continuing our support year after year, and hopefully you will join us.
See you next September.
