Flaked Nutritional Yeast
Use nutritional yeast to add flavour and nutritional content to sauces and gravies, mix it into scrambled eggs or tofu, or sprinkle it over salads, popcorn, pasta or baked potatoes. A typical daily serving size is one to two tablespoons.
Store in a cool, dry place.

Nutritional yeast is yeast that is specifically cultivated as a food crop for use as a nutritional supplement and to add flavour to foods. It has a nutty, slightly sweet and cheese-like flavour, and is rich in B vitamins, folic acid, protein and other nutrients. This yeast is flaked for easy use and it blends especially well with liquids. It can be used in almost any recipe – adding just a small amount will enhance its flavor.
Nutritional yeast should not be confused with baker’s yeast, which is used to make bread rise. Nutritional yeast is an inactive yeast, meaning the yeast cells are not live and have no leavening power.
