    whisk 2 tbsp + 1 tsp (35 ml) vegetarian chicken soup base into 4 cups (1 l) of boiling water. simmer 1 minute.
    for single serving:
    whisk 1 1/2 tsp (7 ml) vegetarian chicken soup base into 1 cup (250 ml) of boiling water. simmer 1 minute.
    for vegetarian chicken gravy: combine 1 tbsp. (15 ml) of corn starch with 1 cup (250 ml) of cold water, then add 2 tbsp (30 ml) of vegetarian chicken soup base. cook over medium heat, stirring continuously until gravy thickens.
