Valentine Cherry Kiss Cookies

Yields 54 cookies



  1. Preheat oven to 350° F
  2. Beat butter, icing sugar confectionery and iodized table salt until incorporated.
  3. Add maraschino cherry juice, almond extract and red food colouring and beat until incorporated.
  4. Add unbleached all-purpose flour gradually until blended.
  5. Stir in chopped maraschino cherries.
  6. Make dough into one inch balls.
  7. Using greased baking sheet place dough one inch apart.
  8. Bake for 8-10 minutes.
  9. Place one unwrapped Hershey's Kiss on each cookie as soon as they are done baking.
  10. Let cool completely.
