Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookie Mix


Bulk Barn Shopping List
1 cup quick rolled oats
1/2 cup jumbo chocolate chips
1/2 cup pecan pieces
1 1/4 cups all purpose flour
1 tsp baking powder double action
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp salt
1/2 cup packed golden yellow sugar
1/2 cup white fine sugar
Carefully layer quick rolled oats, jumbo chocolate chips
and pecan pieces into the Mason jar*. In a small bowl
combine all purpose flour, baking powder double action,
baking soda and salt and layer mixture on top of the pecans.
Top with packed golden yellow sugar and white fine sugar.
Baking the Cookies:
Makes approx. 2 dozen
Additional Ingredients:
1/2 cup butter, 1 egg plus 1 egg white, 1 tsp vanilla extract
Preparation:

  1. Preheat oven to 350 °F.
  2. Mix white fi ne sugar and golden yellow sugar into a large mixing bowl and cream with butter using a wooden spoon. Add in vanilla, egg and egg white, mixing until blended. Stir in remaining ingredients from the jar. Mix well.
  3. With a tablespoon, spoon balls of dough onto a parchment paper-lined baking sheet. Bake for 12 to 14 minutes until golden in colour. Let cool before removing from the baking sheet.
