Vegan Hazelnut Chocolate Spread
Ingredients
- 2 cups Raw Hazelnuts
- 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
- 2 tbsp Hazelnut Oil (substitute with Extra-Virgin Olive Oil)
- 1/4 cup Cacao Powder
- 1/3 cup Raw Sugar or White Fine Sugar (substitute with Maple Syrup)
- 1/4 tsp Salt
Directions
- Preheat oven to 400°F. Roast the hazelnuts for 8 minutes.
- Transfer the roasted hazelnuts to a clean table cloth and rub together to remove the skin.
- Add the skinned hazelnuts to a food processor or high-speed blender and mix on high until hazelnuts are creamy and fully blended. Depending on the blender, it can take between 5-20 minutes.
- Add the vanilla, oil, cacao, sugar, and salt to the blended hazelnuts.
- Blend for an additional 2-4 minutes until fully incorporated.
NOTE: Store in a glass container in the fridge for up to 1 month.

- BAKE TIME: 8 Minutes
- TOTAL TIME: 33-35 Minutes
- YIELD: 2 Cups
