    bring 500 ml water or stock to a boil. add 1 cup of aztec blend, and 5ml of butter or olive oil (optional). bring back to a boil, reduce heat and simmer covered for 25 minutes. remove from heat. let rest while covered for 10 minutes. fluff with a fork and serve.
    yields 3 1/4 cups.

    Usage Tips:

    no-fat reheat - it's easy to use rice blends from the refrigerator without adding fat grams to the recipe. just gather up your favorite fresh cut vegetables and use this simple steam cook method. place one half cup of water for each cup of vegetables in a 2 quart sauce pan and bring to a boil. add vegetables, reduce heat to a simmer, and cover. remove cover after 3 minutes and add refrigerated cooked rice and stir. remove rice when heated. adjust seasoning and serve.

    Storage:

    this rice should be kept in a cool, dry place for storage. if it is stored properly, it should last up to 12-15 months. rice can be frozen in an airtight container for up to 12 weeks after it has been cooked. just thaw in refrigerator overnight or using the defrost cycle on your microwave oven.it can also be kept in the refrigerator for up to three days after it has been cooked. again, it should be kept in an airtight container.
