Two Bite Brownie Spiders
Ingredients:
- 10 tablespoons (145 grams) Unsalted Butter, melted
- 1 1/4 cups (250 grams) White Fine Sugar
- 3/4 cup plus 2 tablespoons (80 grams) Cocoa Powder
- 1/4 teaspoon Salt
- 2 Large Eggs, cold
- 1/2 cup (65 grams) All-Purpose Flour
- 36 Candy Eyes
- 72 Pretzel Twists, salted
- White Cookie Icing
Directions:
- Preheat the oven to 325°F.
- Spray the bottom of each mini muffin cup with no-stick cooking spray.
- Combine melted butter, sugar, cocoa powder, and salt in a medium bowl. Stir the mixture until well combined.
- Check to make sure the mixture isn't hot. If it is, set aside for 5 minutes.
- Add the eggs, one at a time, stirring vigorously after each one.
- When the batter looks thick and well blended, add the flour. Use a spatula or wooden spoon to stir the flour into the batter until it is thick.
- Divide the batter evenly into mini muffin cups. It should fill approximately 18 muffin cups.
- Bake the brownies 15-20 minutes or until the edges look dry and the middle looks slightly under baked.
- Cool completely before removing them from the muffin cups. This step is essential and helps the brownies set.
Let's decorate!
- Place a small dab of icing on the back of two candy eyes, then place them on the brownies in the center near the bottom to give it a spider look.
- Take pretzel twists and break them into three pieces around the curved edges to make the legs. *Make sure you have extra pretzels because a few may break. Alternatively, you can buy pretzel sticks!
- Insert eight pretzel legs (four on each side) and enjoy!
NOTE: Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days.
