Nourishing Millet Breakfast Bowl
Ingredients:
- 1/3 cup (50g) Millet (soaked overnight)
- 1 1/2 cups (355ml) Milk of Choice
- 1/2 tsp Cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp Vanilla
- 1/4 cup (40g) Walnuts
- 1/4 cup (30g) Goji Berries
- 2 tbsp Cacao Nibs
- 1/2 - 1 tbsp Maple Syrup (adjust for desired sweetness)
Optional:
- 1 Scoop Protein Powder of choice
- Fruit of choice
Directions:
- Drain the millet and add to a saucepan with milk.
- Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to a simmer. Cover and cook for 10 minutes.
- Stir in cinnamon and vanilla. The millet is ready when it is soft and chewy. Add more milk if you prefer it creamier.
- Remove the saucepan from heat and spoon the millet into a serving bowl. Optional: Stir in a scoop of protein powder.
- Top with walnuts, goji berries, cacao nibs and drizzle with maple syrup. Optional: Add fruit of choice. Enjoy!
