    Classic Fudgy Brownies - Pumpkin Patch Edition


    Ingredients:

    • 1 1/2 cups (300g) Bulk Barn Granulated Sugar
    • 3/4 cup (90g) Bulk Barn All-Purpose Flour
    • 2/3 cup (55g) Bulk Barn Cocoa Powder, sifted if lumpy
    • 1/2 cup (60g) Bulk Barn Powdered Sugar, sifted if lumpy
    • 1/2 cup (90g) Bulk Barn Dark Chocolate Chips
    • 3/4 tsp Bulk Barn Sea Salt
    • 2 large eggs
    • 1/2 cup (120ml) canola oil or extra-virgin olive oil
    • 2 tbsp water
    • 1/2 tsp Bulk Barn Pure Vanilla Extract

     

    For Decorating:

    • Green Icing (store-bought or homemade)
    • Bulk Barn Mellocreme Pumpkins


    Directions:

    1. Preheat your oven to 325°F (165°C). Lightly spray an 8x8-inch baking dish with cooking spray, line it with parchment paper, then spray the parchment. (Tip: Stick to an 8x8 pan for perfect fudgy brownies—9x9 will overcook them!)
    2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the sugar, flour, cocoa powder, powdered sugar, chocolate chips, and sea salt.
    3. In a large bowl, whisk the eggs, oil, water, and vanilla until smooth.
    4. Gently fold the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until just combined.
    5. Pour the thick batter into your prepared pan and smooth the top.
    6. Bake for 40-48 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs attached. Pull them out early rather than overbaking!
    7. Cool brownies completely in the pan before decorating.
    8. Once cool, pipe or spread green icing in swirly, curling lines across the top to resemble pumpkin vines winding through the patch.
    9. Arrange Bulk Barn Mellocreme Pumpkins on top to create a festive pumpkin patch look.
