Directions:
- Bake the brownies: Lightly coat a square brownie pan with non-stick baking spray.
- Prepare the batter: Make the brownies according to the instructions on the box or your chosen recipe.
- Cool and cut: Once the brownies have completely cooled, cut them into squares. You will need a total of 36 brownies—about three full pans.
- Tint frosting: Divide frosting into 3 individual bowls, about 1/3 cup of frosting in each.
- Dark green frosting: Tint 1/3 cup icing by combining Kelly Green and Teal icing colors to get the dark green shown in the image.
- Lime green frosting: Tint 1/3 cup icing by combining Leaf Green and Lemon Yellow icing colors to get the lime green shown in the image.
- Leaf green frosting: Tint 1/3 cup icing with Leaf Green.
- Assemble brownie bite tree: Using 32 brownie bites, form a triangle shape. Take the remaining four brownies and create the tree trunk.
- Decorate tree: Prepare decorating bags with tips and frosting as follows:
- Tip 21 and dark green
- Tip 18 and lime green
- Tip 32 and leaf green
- Add stars: Starting at the bottom of the triangle, pipe pull-out stars, alternating colors as you work your way to the top.
- Add sprinkles: Take sprinkles and scatter on top of the decorated area. Scatter some of the confetti sprinkles around the tree to add even more of a festive touch.
Notes:
To store: Store brownies at room temperature wrapped in plastic wrap or in an airtight container. Brownies will last for 3 to 5 days stored this way. Brownies will start to become stale after keeping them at room temperature for longer than a week.
To freeze: Brownies can be frozen for up to a month. Tightly wrap brownies in plastic wrap and place in the freezer. To thaw frozen brownies, remove from the freezer and allow them to thaw at room temperature before serving.
