    Candy Cane Matcha Cookies

    Ingredients:

    • 8 Tbsp (113g) Unsalted Butter, melted
    • 2/3 cup (140g) Granulated Sugar
    • 2 Large Egg Yolks
    • 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
    • 1 1/4 cups (152g) All-Purpose Flour
    • 2 Tbsp (8g) Organic Matcha Green Tea Powder
    • 1/2 tsp Baking Soda
    • 1/4 tsp Salt
    • Extra Granulated Sugar, for rolling
    • 12 Candy Cane Hershey Kisses, unwrapped

    Directions:

    1. Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 350 F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
    2. Mix wet ingredients: In a bowl, mix together the melted butter, sugar, egg yolks, and vanilla until smooth.
    3. Combine dry ingredients: In another bowl, mix the flour, matcha powder, baking soda, and salt, then add to the wet mixture. Stir just until the dough comes together.
    4. Form the dough balls: Scoop and roll the dough into 12 even balls, then lightly roll each one in extra granulated sugar.
    5. Arrange on baking sheet: Place the dough balls evenly on the prepared baking sheet.
    6. Bake: Bake for 10–11 minutes, until the cookies spread, crackle, and look dry on top.
    7. Add Candy Cane Kisses: Let the cookies rest on the baking sheet for 2 minutes, then gently press a Candy Cane Hershey Kiss into the center of each warm cookie.
    8. Cool: Transfer to a wire rack to cool completely so the Kisses can set.
