Bunny Cakesicles
Ingredients:
- 2 3/4 cup (550g) Chocolate Cake & Muffin Mix, prepared
- 1 cup (300g) White Buttercreme Icing
- 1 cup (195g) Merckens White Molding Wafers
- 1/4 cup (50g) Merckens Pink Molding Wafers
- 1/4 cup (50g) Merckens Light Molding Wafers
- 1/4 cup (50g) Merkcens Dark Molding Wafers
- 1/4 cup (50g) Hershey's Eggies
- Bunny Silicone Cakesicle Mold
- Acrylic Popsicle Sticks
- Disposable Icing Bags
Directions:
- Prepare the chocolate cake mix according to the recipe (https://www.bulkbarn.ca/en/Products/All/Deluxe-Chocolate-Cake-Mix-322)
- Once the cake has cooled, crumble half into a large bowl and add about 1/2 cup of white buttercreme icing and mix. Add more if desired. Mixture should be moist and hold together without crumbling.
- Melt Merckens Molding Wafers (white) and line the cakesicle mold. Tap on the counter before chilling in the fridge to remove any air bubbles.
- Once the molding wafers have set, fill with the prepared cake mixture (about 7/8th full). Insert the popsicle sticks into the cakesicle. (You will have cake mixture remaining.)
- Top with the remaining melted molding wafers. Chill in fridge to set.
Gently remove the cakesicle from the mold when set. Decorate the bunny face with light, dark, and pink molding wafers and Hershey's Eggies (crushed).
- Store in the fridge and enjoy within 3-5 days!
Note: Get creative and try different cake mix flavours, melting wafers, and Easter candies as decoration!
